Job Description:
SunGard is looking for a Support Consultant to join the Pune based AAIA support team.
The primary responsibilities will be focussed on helping the European and North American AAIA support teams provide the highest standards of support for their clients.
Working within a team of three, the successful candidate will be engaged in a ‘functional’ role so sound business knowledge of the investment industry is required across a broad spectrum of fund types and asset classes.
Main Roles include:
* Interpreting functional client queries on this world leading fund accounting software.
* Internal customer interaction via e-mail, phone and in person.
* Recreation of client issues in a test environment so that our development area can analyze and fix software issues.
* Liaising with both US and UK based development areas.
* Some testing of the maintenance issues and new release of software during the release cycle.

Desired Profile:
* The successful candidate should have at least 5 years’ experience within the Fund Accounting industry (either with an Asset Manager or Third Party Administrator).
* Preferably, the candidate should have exposure to the production of Fund NAV’s and / or production of Fund Financial Statements.
* Exposure to UK fund types (OEIC’s and Unit Trusts) is highly desirable.
* The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be have the ability to interpret customer queries under the tight time constraints imposed by the industry
* Experience to one or many of the following applications is desirable: SunGard AAIA, Egifi Multifonds, DST * Hiportfolio, StateStreet MultiCurrency Horizon, Simcorp Dimension.
* Please note our contract precludes applicants from existing AAIA customers.
Mandatory Skills:
* Good functional understanding of financial Products, including OTC products
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including presentation skills & written communication.
* End to end fund accounting process understanding
* Degree in Accountancy desirable
* Understanding of various Capital Market intermediaries, and their functions
* Good fund accounting system knowledge Right attitude, logic driven, demonstrated ability to work in cross cultural environments.
* Ability to work as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) & as a team player.
