Job Description:

Key Job Responsibilities :

* Setup workstation hardware
* Install software for data processing
* Duplicate client environment to keep data in correct format
* Restore files and catalogue data
* Create directory structure and listings for analysis
* Create and update tracking spreadsheets and access databases
* Extract text and file properties from various law firms suit related files using internal software
* Consolidate data/files and process into Tagged Image Files (TIF)
* Decompress files
* Convert various mail formats into workable PST formats
* Conduct virus scans
* Validate data throughout processes and update processing group documents
* Create data CDs
* Request backups of staging data
* Liaise with Operations Staff Lead"

Desired Profile:

* Bachelor's degree in BSc Computer Science,BCA,BCom Computer or related field
* 0 to 6 months of IT work experience preferred
* Strong working knowledge of basic PC functions and Windows environment (e.g. MS Office)
* Experience with: SQL, SQL+, Visual Basic/VBSCRIPT, SAS, MS-Access, C++, Java, ASP, DOS, Windows, UNIX, and Linux
* Ability to perform troubleshooting and learn customized proprietary software
* Knowledge of commonly used backup software and techniques and understanding of how to convert various file formats (e.g. MS Exchange)
* Ability to understand database concepts and/or basic knowledge of Access and/or SQL Server
* Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
* Ability to troubleshoot system and network errors
* Experience with Text Editor(s) is beneficial
* Strong problem solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail "
