Project Summary and Position Overview: (A detailed description of the Project and what the Position entails must be included)
The SAP ABAP Senior Software Engineer would be a part of the implementation project at Thomson Reuters as a member of the development team. The SSE would play a key role in ABAP development, interface development using ALE/EDI as well as PI and also in developing system enhancements. The developer should have a strong grasp on technical concepts in SAP such as Enhancements and User Exits, Update processing and performance tuning. The Senior Software Engineer would also be expected to get trained and develop in SAP CRM and Biller Direct.
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
1. Develop programs for the SD, FICO and RMCA modules of SAP
2. Design, develop and test the interfaces between SAP and other applications using IDOCs and web services
3. Build a detailed understanding of the business processes by engaging with business users and functional experts 4. Work with SAP EDI/ALE, Web services and PI technologies to develop, monitor and support interfaces. 5. ABAP performance tuning, debugging and trouble shooting 6. Enhance the SAP standard by using techniques such as user exits, enhancements and BADI.
6. Mentor and be responsible for the delivery of 2-3 junior ABAP developers.

Bachelors degree, Advanced technical education in SAP domain
Required Skills (Must have), Necessary industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:
1. ABAP programming experience (including ABAP Objects, Reports, Enhancements, LSMW and Smartforms)- 4 years 2. SAP Workflow/ALE/BAPI development and support - 2 years 3. Experience with SAP FI (AR/CO-PA/FI-CA) and SD modules- 2 years 4. General knowledge of ABAP in topics such as workflow objects, dynpro etc 5. Excellent analytical and logical thinking skills - be able to own a problem and drive the solution 6. Must have a strong desire to learn and embrace new technologies with a focus on delivery - Be an active participant in forums like SDN and OSS and bring the learning to the team to enhance capabilities
