Job Purpose:
* Performing cost segregation studies for investments in new constructions, renovation of existing facilities, and purchase price allocations for acquired properties in accordance with federal and state local taxes
* Providing construction dispute support including documentation review, analyzing issues related to dispute and cost/schedule assessment for both public and private sector client projects
* Provide support related to Capital Projects Consulting which includes Capital Project Process Improvement, Capital Project Oversight, & Construction Cost and Project Control Assessments
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Reviewing and analyzing client asset data, categorizing the assets into Real or Personal property and inputting the data into the valuation model
* Reviewing construction plans, specifications and cost data for the purpose of classifying property under the US federal income tax Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery Systems
* Developing project and property cost estimates, creating financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry research and writing reports
* Working closely with multi-state tax professionals regarding sales and use tax and personal property tax issues pertaining to our clients' facility construction projects
* Interacting with internal clients and communicating with associates and managers in the US
* May need to work on other Deloitte FAS engagements
