Job Description:

Position Summary

The NCR Enterprise Platform (NEP) team is responsible for creating software assets that will be used across all of the NCR vertical organizations and self-service delivery channels.

The Software Test Engineer role is responsible for development of test cases and maintenance of them against software applications and their associated components within the NEP team.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Support existing internal customers for the Enterprise Platform
• Development of Acceptance Criteria, Integration and Systems Tests
• Conduct test procedures to ensure software quality
• Development of Test Plans and Strategy
• Project quality and defect reporting
• Cross team coordination and collaboration
• Developing QA estimates
• Participate and contribute to an effective software development lifecycle using Scrum

Desired Profile:

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• 2-6 years experience in software testing
• Ability to understand business and technical requirements
• Experience with the following modern programming languages: Java, XML, and (JavaScript or ActionScript)
• Experience with the following modern programming frameworks: JEE, Spring, Web Services, and SOA
• Experience with one of the following relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with Scrum
• Experience with one of modern Automated Testing Tools: QuickTest Pro, Selenium, SilkTest, Visual Studio Test Pro, FlexMonkey or HTTP Test Tool
• Experience with Continuous Integration and tools to support it: Hudson, Sonar, Maven
• Excellent documentation skills
