Job Details:

UPPSC shall hold preliminary examination for the various posts of Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Examination-2012 in various centres of UP.

OMR Application is applicable to this examination through Head Post Office of every district or from designated Post Offices in the state of UP, which will be available from 28/01/2012. The prescribed cost of the applicaiton form for Special Recruitment for series PREGEN is Rs.155/- and for Series PRERES (for SC/ST of UP) is Rs.95/-, The cost of PREPH series for Physical Handicapped candidates is Rs.55/- only. The candidates must keep with them a photocopy of their OMR application form.

Posts : 100 approx. (The no. of vacancies may increase or decrease in exceptional circumstances) for various subordinate services Officers for Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Age : 21-35 years as on 01/07/2012. Relaxation for reserved categories as per Govt. orders.

Qualification : A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent and special qualification for some posts.

Indianisation of the superior Civil Services became one of the major demands of the political movement compelling the British Indian Government to consider setting up of a Public Service Commission for recruitment to its services in the territory. The first Public Service Commission was set up on October 1st, 1926. However, its limited advisory functions failed to satisfy the people's aspirations and the continued stress on this aspect by the leaders of our freedom movement resulted in the setting up of the Federal Public Service Commission under the Government of India Act, 1935. Under this Act, for the first time, provision was also made for the formation of Public Service Commissions at the provincial level.

How To Apply:

Application should be submitted on the prescribed OMR form. Application completed in all respects must reach the “Secretary, (Deptt No. A-1/E-1/2012) Public Service Commission, U.P., 10, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Allahabad-211018” at the Commission’s office either by registered post or by hand upto 5.00 p.m. on or before 24/02/2012.
