UPCL, a Government of Uttaranchal undertaking is engaged in the business of distribution of electricity in the State of Uttarakhand. Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals or appointment to the following positions in UPCL :
1. Assistant Engineer (Trainee) (Electrical & Mech.) : 29 posts : Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100 grade pay Rs.5400
2. Assistant Engineer (Trainee) (Civil) : 05 posts : Pay Scale : Rs. Rs. 15600-39100 grade pay Rs. 5400
3. Junior Engineer (Trainee) (Electrical & Mech.) : 77 posts : Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 grade pay Rs. 4200
4. Junior Engineer (Trainee) (Civil) : 13 posts : Pay Scale : Rs. 9300-34800 grade pay Rs. 4200
Age : all candidates should be within 18-35 years. Relaxation in age as per rules.
Application Fee : A crossed Demand Draft, of Rs. 400/- only in case of General /OBC candidates and Rs. 200/- in case of SC/ST candidates in favour of EE (HQ), UPCL payable at Dehradun from a scheduled bank.

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL), formerly Uttaranchal Power Corporation Ltd was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 on February 12, 2001 consequent upon the formation of the State of Uttarachal. Today UPCL, the State Power Distribution Utility of the Government of Uttaranchal (GoU) caters to the Sub –Transmission & Distribution Secondary Substations & Distribution Lines 66 KV & below in the State.
