• Qualifications : Matric/ 10th class pass from a recognized Board.Certificate from a recognized institution/ ITI in Automobile Engineering/Motor Mechanic trade.
• No. Of Post : 135 (UR-57,(SC-22),(ST-11),(OBC-45) Posts.
• Age Limit : 18-25 years.
• Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- per month.
2-Post Name : Head Constable
• Qualifications : Matric/ 10th class pass from a recognized Board.Certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognized institution/ ITI with 3 years practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop or 3 years diploma in Automobile Engineering.
• No. Of Post : 58(UR-23,(SC-7),(ST-1),(OBC-27)Post.
• Age Limit : 19-25 years.
• Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2400/- per month.

ITBP is a multi-dimensional force. Presently Battalions of ITBP deployed on Border Guarding Duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 KM of India China Border are manning Border Out Posts at an altitude ranging from 9000’ to 18500’ in the Western, Middle & Eastern Sector of India China Border. ITBP is basically a mountain trained Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained Mountaineers and Skiers,. They have scaled more than 140 Himalayan peaks including Mt. Everest three times ( Recent successful expedition in May, 2006), besides ITBP batallions are also deployed on CI OPS / IS / VIP security duties at Chamba - Doda border, in VA/Startegic locations and with VIPs in Delhi and VIPs in Srinagar J&K.
