Job Description:

• Maintain & Manage backup solutions
• Provide L2/L3 level technical support, guidance and direction for products supported.
• Analyze and resolve or Backup issues & problems.
• Audit application backup policies and environments to ensure integrity of backup and recovery activities.
• Participate in the recovery of application environments where required.
• Ensure integrity of supported environment.
• Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks.
• Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software
• Work with change and problem management tools
• Hardware /software fault detection and vendor liaison
• Liaise with customer accounts as required
• Analyze and resolve escalated problems within target.
• Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability.
• Document and implement changes to technical standards as required.
• Change and problem management targets are exceeded
• Ensure that customer satisfactory levels are exceeded
• 4 Years of experience Required
• Installation and configuration Backup Exec /Arcserve
• Sound Knowledge of tape Libraries
• Hands-on experience on configuring tape-drives, scheduling backup jobs/policies
• Experience in managing media pools, critical restorations, database management
• Experience in installing, configuring and managing various Backup Agents
• Knowledge on Disaster-Recovery
