Job Details:

General Insurance Corporation of India, is looking for Young, Energetic Graduates / Post Graduates with Brilliant Academic record in the disciplines mentioned below to fill-in the positions of Specialist Officers in the cadre of Assistant Managers (Scale-I)

Age as on 30.09.2011 : 21- 30 years

Pay Scale : Basic Pay Rs.17,240/- per month in the scale of Rs.17240-840(14)-29000-910-(4)-32640

Selection Procedure : The selection for the above post shall be on the basis of short listing of the candidates based on Written Test and performance in Group Discussion and interview. Competitive written examination will be held at 04 centres in India tentatively on Sunday the 4th of December?2011 .

Application Fee : Non refundable Crossed demand draft of Rs. 500/- as Processing and Examination fees. (Rupees Five Hundred Only) by means of an A/c Payee Demand Draft in favour of "General Insurance Corporation Of India", payable at Mumbai, which is not refundable. (Candidates belonging to SC/ST category and PH (OH) candidates and the employees of GIC and GIPSA Member Companies are exempted from the fees).P lease mention your Full Name and Registration Number on the reverse of the Demand Draft. Money Order / Postal Order or any other mode of payment is not acceptable. The DD details (if applicable) and valid e-mail ID are mandatory fields without which applications will not be registered.

Company Profile :

The entire general insurance business in India was nationalised by General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Act, 1972 (GIBNA). The Government of India (GOI), through Nationalisation took over the shares of 55 Indian insurance companies and the undertakings of 52 insurers carrying on general insurance business.

Candidates satisfying the eligibility conditions have to apply through online registration. While applying on-line, candidate should have the following readily available. E-mail ID (which must be valid for at least one year from the date of application), Mobile No (which must be valid for at least one year from the date of application),  A recent (not more than 1 month old) colour passport size photograph of the full face (front view) MUST be pasted neatly in the space provided in the Online Registration Slip.

Last date for Online Registration - 05th November,2011
Last date for accepting registration slips with required documents by post - 14th November,2011
Intimation to candidates regarding Downloading of admit cards by sms/email latest by - 25th November,2011
Tentative Date of Written Test - 04th December,2011
Tentative Date for commencement of Group Discussion / Interview - Last week of December 2011
Tentative Date for joining the Corporation on induction training programme - First week of February 2012
