Essential Responsibilities

. Apply coding and indexing to patent documents in line with editorial policies and conventions. o Achieve production volume and quality targets. o Recording of performance against target. o Taking an active role within the team to ensure targets are met. o Maintain awareness of current developments in own technology areas. o Achieve and maintain consistent quality standards. o Effective personal planning and time management. o Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process change. o To take responsibility for identifying technology training and developmental needs for yourself on an on-going basis. o To make positive efforts to promote personal safety and that of others by taking reasonable care at work, by carrying out the requirements of the law or following recognised codes of practice provided or advised by management to ensure safe working practices. o To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager / director on a permanent or temporary basis

Desired Profile:

Education

ONLY M.Sc Chemistry (Pure or Applied), Analytical Chemistry,Organic Chemistry,Inorganic chemistry

Desired Skills

* Degree modules in sugar chemistry, dye chemistry, analytical chemistry, polymer chemistry

Required Skills

* Comprehensive knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry, incl. chemical nomenclature, synthesis, catalytic reactions, organometallics o Problem identification and solving skills o Good numerical skills o Attention to detail o Good interpersonal skills o A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative o Well organised and disciplined with regards policy, procedure and standards o Excellent English written and verbal communication skills o Ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment o Effective time management
