Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Develop and code highly efficient web based and non web based applications using ASP.NET, C# and JavaScript with backend being Oracle 10g.
* Develop and run test suites to validate data and efficiency metrics required for applications that must make use of the WAN and web based protocols.
* Release and maintain Research content support applications with a commitment to support 24x7 all world-wide markets.
* Work with the developers, data quality analysts, customer support and operations technicians to troubleshoot all application, as well as, market data level issues.
* Monitor the health and performance of the application once in production * provide statistics to support changes and enhancement to current and new products.
* Provide technical assistance to internal staff in addition to external customers.
* Ability to provide on-call support for mission critical market data systems, this involves the ability to remotely diagnose problems with data center staff. Carry and respond to a cell phone.

Desired Profile:
Qualification:
* Bachelors Degree in Science or Information Technology or Computer science with at least 2 years in the IT industry
Required Skills
* Around 2-3 years experience in IT development and maintenance
* Minimum of 2 years of ASP.NET, C#, .NET, JavaScript with solid knowledge in these areas
* Minimum 1 year experience in an RDBMS, preferably Oracle 10g.
* Knowledge of HTTP, XML, XSLT
* Knowledge of web services, SOAP and WSDL
* Ability to work in groups and distributed environment
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are a must.
Desired Skills
* Experienced with data ingestion services developed using Microsoft technologies.
* Experienced with data entry sites developed using Microsoft technologies.
* Market data knowledge based on first hand experience in the Research industry including at least the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and another major European or Asian market.
