Position: Technical Writer

• Analyzes, develops, and delivers content for online help systems, user guides, and technical manuals
• Creates and maintains project plans and status reports for management and cross-functional team reporting purposes
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to determine necessary content updates
• Obtains collaborative approval of all new or revised content by subject matter experts and key contributors on cross-functional teams
• Provides expertise to cross-functional team members and subject matter experts, and for design and delivery strategies of product documentation
• Shares expertise with other JDA associates in presenting information based on standard corporate formats
• Collaborates with other technical writers in peer and copy editing to ensure quality
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure content is applicable and operational in all JDA markets, taking into account local language and technical standards
• Provides expertise for product documentation projects and assists in documentation design and delivery strategies for new product offerings
• Gathers requirements from customer representatives and delivers documentation that meets defined requirements and warrants product functionality
• Maintains open line of communication with customer representatives and adapts content to best meet customer needs
• Monitors customer support cases for appropriate products. Determines documentation enhancements that will assist customers and reduce support calls
• Completes assigned work within allotted time
• Escalates issues that may have negative scheduling or financial impact
• Keeps individual expenses within budget
• Records time and expenses into time entry system

Desired Profile:
At least 1 year of experience in Technical writing
Good exp in: Microsoft Office (all applications), Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, RoboHelp, HTML.
Possess excellent communication skills.
