Job Description:
To provide an in-depth, value added research service in a Cross Industry to Deloitte practitioners. The role will entail the practitioner to utilize both the internal and external databases available to the firm in the creation of value added research with outputs ranging from concise briefing documents to in-depth analytical reports on companies, industries, business issues, competitors, and current awareness.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with the UK team on global and regional research projects, working alongside the counterparts in the UK and India managers. Responsible for conducting analysis relating to strategic business issues and macro and micro market dynamics, using analytical frameworks and financial modeling skills, analytical support and presentation of results in PPT format.
Conduct detailed analyses, including historical and forecast market structure and sizing, competitor analysis and benchmarking, regulatory monitoring, macro and micro trend identification, policy impact assessment, and customer profiling, segmentation and occasional surveying/interviewing

Post Graduation: MBA , Finance ideally; or other PG level Finance, Economics, Strategy qualifications

Experience -
Exposure to a broad range of business issues required - preferably with a strategic and financial analysis focus. Previous research work experience in business research and analytics. Additional language skills desirable.
Technical Skills -
• Demonstrated ability to assess and understand a variety of economic and financial issues which impact the private and public sector spheres, to analyse data and forecast future business trends, and to defend outcomes as necessary
• Ability to identify data sources to inform analysis of markets, performance data, and business issues and draw conclusions
• Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (and preferably also Microsoft Access)
• Ability to import, cleanse, validate, triangulate and model data
• Comfortable utilizing Pivot tables and complex formulae
• Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to present data analysis in charts, graphs and tables
• Ability to write structured, logical business English (progressing to Deloitte standard style)
• Ability to produce Consulting oriented analytical presentations and reports
• Strong interpersonal skills required to build relationships across business units for collaboration, data requests, and joint analysis
• Strong English language communication skills, both verbal and written
• Financial modeling/analysis (DCF, NPV, accounting) and basic finance principles
• Strong self-motivation and ability to plan time/priorities
• Flexible in terms of workload and hours
